Breathe easy: Theories and practices for speaking and singing

• This event will focus on respiratory issues for all voice users.
• The problems caused by asthma, coughing and ageing will be discussed.
• The day will include two introductory workshops on two different approaches to breathing, The Accent Method* and The Fitzmaurice Voicework.

Dr. Bryan Sheinman: Consultant Chest Physician
Rebecca Moseley-Morgan: Respiratory function in the mature voice
Catherine Wyn-Rogers: Singing with Asthma
Sara Harris: An introduction to The Accent Method*
Cathryn Robson and Jedd Owen-Ellis Clark: The Fitzmaurice Voicework – explorations of the dynamics between body, breath, voice, imagination and language.

* One of this course's afternoon sessions: An introduction to The Accent Method with Sara Harris, gives delegates a taste of what this technique entails.
