COURSE POSTPONEMENT
The Manchester Voice Course and Voice Clinics Forum, which were to have been held in Manchester on 27-28 September 2010, have regrettably had to be postponed. It is hoped that a new date can be set in early 2011. More details here when available.
BVA team's article wins prestigious award! Their ground-breaking article on Laryngeal Manual Therapy, written by six authors including former BVA presidents Lesley Mathieson, Ruth Epstein, current president John Rubin and patron Ron Baken, won the 3rd annual Journal of Voice's "Best Paper Award" in the "Speech-Language Pathology/Vocal Pedagogy" category. Lesley Mathieson was presented with the award in person by Bob Sataloff at the Voice Foundation's 39th annual "Care of the Professional Voice" symposium in Philadelphia in June.

BVA patron Dame Felicity Lott receives Wigmore Medal
On 9 February 2010, Dame Felicity was presented with the 'Wigmore Hall Medal' by HRH The Duke of Kent KG at the launch of the hall's 110th anniversary programme. The medal is awarded to internationally important artistic figures in recognition of their significant contribution to Wigmore Hall, and is in recognition of her "unique contribution to Wigmore Hall and to the advancement of the song recital as a concert-going experience throughout the world."
