Recognised as the pre-eminent association in its field in the UK, the BVA serves as an umbrella organisation for all who are involved in the care of the human voice, including speech and language therapists, singers and singing teachers, voice teachers, laryngologists, acousticians, and other professional and amateur voice users.
Current membership rates
Membership for one year from the date application is processed:
- Individual membership: £55
- Student or young graduate membership: £25
- Overseas individual membership: £65
- Corporate membership (e.g. Library, Voice Clinic or SLT Department): £80

Serving You, Representing You
Through meetings, conferences, publications, lobbying and representation, the BVA aims to provide services to its members in a multitude of ways:
- Acting as a central point of focus for the many disciplines involved in voice and voice care
- Collecting and disseminating information, and acting as a forum for discussion on voice issues
- Providing educational programmes delivering the latest information on issues of the day - worldwide
- Representing the field of voice to government and professional bodies
